Anyone notice how they were talking how Tatum couldn’t get the golden state into rotation and that’s some of why he lost to the warriors. Then they immediately cute to Tatum now and show him playing the Dallas mavericks and how his basketball IQ has really preogressed. Then he goes on to beat the mavericks. I know it was a coincidence, but funny

When I was a kid in middle school and I went out for the basketball team, Coach said never left a guy drive left. And now I see why, he created to much space and Big Z set a back screen without even trying. My Coach would’ve been pissed on a play like this and we’re on defense 😂😂😂😂😂. Easy timeout call.

Why is it that in all these podcast JJ SEEMS like he has just as much “basketball IQ” if not more than LBJ? I know it’s highly unlikely and there are way more things that go into it (especially on the fly on the court) but JJ seems to have taken control of this podcast and it’s a great fit

Hearing what Lebron said makes me think about how we could try to change the rules of the shot clock system for the NBA.

And that’s how JJ got the job 😂

Wow, just two brilliant basketball minds. One thing a coach pointed out-- to counter "Victory play" put a 7'2" guy (Biggest Guy) on the ball against the guy in-bounding the ball. Then the desired first pass (over-the-top skip pass) is much more difficult. It's such a chess match!! This podcast should be required viewing if you want to coach.

EXACTLY!!! I love this! Draw 2 and get the ball to the open man. Ideally the easy lay up, or the great shooter in his spot. Especially when the team is moving off the ball, setting screens away from the ball and cutting working together, then having the IQ, Vision, and ability to get the ball to the open man in his efficient scoring spot(s), ahhh that BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BASKETBALL

So happy for JJ. Glad he’s coaching the lakers. I believe he can get guys to buy in and get back to stacking championships by getting guys that have a tenacity for the game on BOTH side of the ball. A team that does not take defensive possessions lightly, a team that turns “50-50” balls into 75-25 balls by EFFORT as well as mentally being crafty. And of course offensively by playing as a team, getting guys to move the ball and move without the ball as a unit as well as developing guys into better and more efficient scorers & ball players while being unselfish and making the best plays, extra passes, getting offense boards and overall just being a great team

It's funny, I watched EP1 and held off till now to start watching again but JJ is already hired and confirmed he's out for the foreseeable future from MTGP. It's interesting to see how JJ and LeBron are talking considering it's now after the fact of JJ's hiring.

Will miss this podcast.
